MAPC Annual General Meeting and Conference

The MAPC Annual General Meeting and Conference is a great networking experience for you to meet other parents, like yourself as well as a time to enjoy professional development opportunities provided by keynote speakers, workshop clinicians, and other presenters.

2017 MAPC Annual Book of Reports - The BOR has been emailed to all member Parent Councils. If your PAC hasn't received yours, please contact the MAPC office.

Please note that you must be a MAPC member in good standing in order to have a vote at the Annual General Meeting! Membership forms must be received in the MAPC office no later than 90 days in advance of the AGM.

Call for Resolutions 2017

Every year, parents serving on school councils discuss educational issues they want to see addressed by the Manitoba government. They record these ideas in “statements of intent” by submitting a resolution for change. Proposed resolutions are reviewed by Manitoba Association of Parent Councils’ (MAPC) membership and voted on at our Annual General Meeting. If passed, these resolutions become part of MAPC position statements. New position statements are submitted to the Minister of Education for review and used to promote our position with other decision makers in Manitoba’s education system.

Your Parent Advisory Council must be a current MAPC member in good standing to propose a resolution. Please click here to download the guidelines to assist your PAC in making a submission.
