
Membership Registration
Our membership year is from September 01 to August 31, but we register new groups throughout the year.
Your group must be registered 90 days in advance of the Annual General Meeting of any given year in order to have voting privileges at our Annual General Meeting. (as per the MAPC Constitution item 4.5 d). Only school based parent groups are permitted at vote at the Annual General Meeting. However, all members are invited to attend and may speak to have their questions and concerns addressed during the meeting. (as per the MAPC Constitution item 4.5 c).
For the 2011 - 2012 school year the Regular School Membership fee is only $60, Divisional Membership fee is only $40 per school (when all active parent groups within the school division apply), Association Membership fee is $40, and Individual or Community Memberships are $20.
2011 - 2012 Regular School Membership Registration Form (PDF) - ($60.00 per school parent group when joining individually OR $40.00 per school parent group if all active parent groups in your Division join as a Divisional Membership)
2011 - 2012 Association Membership Form (PDF) - (Any association who feels that membership with MAPC would be beneficial to their organization and who pays the annual membership fee, is approved by the MAPC Board of Directors, and upholds the constitution and By-Laws of MAPC)
2011 - 2012 Community Membership Form (PDF) - (Any member, without children in the school system, shall submit to MAPC two (2) letters of reference indicating that they feel the individual would represent the views of parents and uphold the Constitution and By-Laws of MAPC)
2011 - 2012 Individual Membership Form (PDF) - (A parent whose child attends a school that either does not have a parent group, or whose parent group does not belong to MAPC, is granted membership when the annual membership fee is paid).
Please note - Only Regular School Members (as well as Divisional School Members) are entitled to vote.
Memberships received after January 27, 2012 are not eligible to vote at the MAPC AGM on April 27, 2012. If you have any questions, please contact the MAPC office.
